Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlements (MHHS) is a significant change in the energy industry, and it’s something every club should know about. The transition to MHHS is set to begin in April 2025 and will be fully implemented by December 2026. Some suppliers will begin testing changes as early as December this year, starting with businesses and clubs that have Automated Meter Reading (AMR), smart meters, or Half-Hourly (HH) meters.

For example, “Data Aggregation” will be replaced by “Market-Wide Data Service.” The switch from traditional Half-Hourly and Non-Half-Hourly settlements to advanced smart meters will modernise the billing system, making it easier for clubs to track and manage energy use.
